LocksmithFederation

The Locksmith Federation is the leading trade association for the UK
locksmithing industry. A truly not-for-profit organisation promoting the skill and
integrity of its members, it was established to set and promote standards of
conduct, practice and materials within locksmithing.
Recognised as the UK's authoritative body for locksmithing by the police, home
office, British Standards Institute (BSI), RISCAuthority and Building Research
Establishment (BRE). Locksmith Federation members undergo strict vetting
(including criminal record checks, regular inspections to ensure quality etc), are
able to provide advice based on knowledge and experience, recommend
products that are fit for purpose as well as provide professional installation and
maintenance services.

The Locksmith Federation was created after the merger of the British Locksmith
Guild and AML(Association of Master Locksmiths) to create a unified trade
body who's sole aim is to promote the skill and integrity of its members so the
consumer can make a educated decision on who they employ, a separate
company was also created LockSmart to handle all the commercial operations
of the former associations. Unlike other Locksmith trade bodies the Locksmith
Federation charges no membership fee's and its members are only approved
after verification of there skills(trade qualifications) and all legal business
documents(public liability and employee insurance ect.).
